Meet the Artists: Kenz & Ruby Sansom

At the heart of Inner Artist UK CIC, two names stand out as rising stars and community leaders in the making — Kenz and Ruby Sansom.

From their first day in the Respect the Game project, both showed raw talent, untapped potential, and a willingness to grow. Their journey began alongside eight other young people, many of whom were struggling with school, confidence, or finding a creative outlet. While the project aimed to reconnect all of them with education and purpose, it was Kenz and Ruby’s progress that truly stood out.

They both completed their Bronze Arts Award with flying colours, performed live in front of audiences, and quickly transitioned from students to self-managed performers. Now, they’re out performing every week outside of the CIC — building their personal brands, stage presence and musical catalogue.

Every week, Kenz and Ruby return to the Inner Artist UK studio for ongoing development. They’re learning the ins and outs of the music business — from songwriting to performance, video production to self-promotion. More importantly, they’re gaining key life skills: confidence, negotiation, resilience, and stronger mental health.

Their progress isn’t just personal — it’s shaping the future of our organisation. Both are being mentored into leadership roles as future directors of Inner Artist UK CIC. Their mission? To support and train the next wave of artists with real-life experience and heart-led guidance.

Kenz and Ruby represent everything we stand for: growth, creativity, and giving back. And this is only the beginning of their story.
